Overview

Sihanoukville is a famous seaside province of Cambodia because of beautiful white beach and greenery southern island. On this city tour, we take you to visit interesting places in the town. First, we will visit Wat Intrangean / Wat Krom Buddhist Monastery to see the traditional Khmer architectures and learn about the intriguing history behind the temple. Then, we continue our tour to Psar Leu, a local market in Sihanoukville where we can find fresh products such as vegetables, fruits, sea foods and so on. Finally, we come to Tumnob Rolok, a fishing community where we will be able to witness everyday lives of Cambodian fishermen.

Itinerary

8:00am – Wat Intrangean / Wat Krom Buddhist Monastery

Starting at the Wat Intrangean / Wat Krom Buddhist Monastery you will have a chance to visit Cambodian Buddhist monks and learn about the intriguing history behind this temple. Buddhist temples and pagodas are the foundation of Cambodia’s community focused lifestyle. Today it is known for an extensive academic library and as the Centre of Khmer Studies and Culture promoting a greater understanding of Khmer culture.

10:00am – Psar Leu Market

Next is Sihanoukville’s main local market Psar Leu Market, a cultural experience in itself, this market is filled with everything you can imagine from local fruit and fresh produce and of course, fresh seafood.

11:00am – Lunch

We stop for lunch at a traditional local restaurant.

12:30am – Tumnob Rolok

This afternoon we head out to visit a fishing village called ‘Tumnob Rolok’. We travel 2kms north of Sihanoukville to the port where we will be able to witness the life of Cambodian fishermen. They typically drive their boats out at night and return early in the morning with their hard earned work, the days are filled with repairs and preparation for the next night at sea. 

2:00pm – Tour Ends

Our tour comes to an end and our guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
